CRIM 2014 Audio and Tracker Archives

I haven't worked the crim in a few years and this year I was asked to help run the ARES net and provide some AVL (APRS) trackers for the event..  Below is the audio from the 3 main nets.  25EMS2 is all EMS Traffic, G-EVENT7 is all the PD Traffic and ARES 147.260 is the ARES Net...  That is the net I was running..

I also provided trackers for the lead units and chase units for 10mile, 8K and 5K races... The data was fed to the command post for viewing..  Here is a youtube video time-lapse of the whole route trackers and fixed stations. It's better to take this full screen and in 1080P resolution.

Here is some screen shots of the tracking data per tracker along with a speed graph. KML file for each device as well.

3 New Livinston County Feeds

It has been some time since I have launched any new 800mhz digital feeds let alone 2 of them. But that's what has happend.  47F911, 47P911 and 47F911-VHF are now live.  The fire feed has TXT tags enabled on it. And when you are listening to the feed via winamp/itunes you will see what talkgroup radio# is keyed.

You can also get the info for getting fire alerts for livingston county here...

Remember this site would not be possible with-out donations from you guys.  We have near 40+ scanner feeds from around michigan.  With 6 more to launch here shortly from northern michigan.  There is a paypal donate link at the top right but we also accept any old radio equiment you might have.. May not work in your area after department upgrades but will be able to cover other areas just drop an email...

2010 Moses.bz Year End Stats

I posted this to the facebook page but totaly forgot to pop it in the news page here for you all..

Here are some stats from the moses.bz site for the year of 2010.

There are currently 5 Servers, 14 Encoding/Archiving Computers, 8 UPS's, 37 Scanners, 2 16port preamp/multicouplers, 8 Tower Colocation Sites with gear.

audio.moses.bz had a peak of 490 concurrent streams this was during a 2-3 hour period.  We average 120-140 during the day/evening hours on normal days.

moses.bz received over 2.5 million hits to the 2 web servers not including the archive server.

The alerts.moses.bz system decoded 62,546 page outs.  And sent over 1.9Million page outs to subscribers.

Dial-a-feed was so popular I had to suspend it till I figure out how to make it not use up all my phone lines at the house. It was running on the PRI so that's 23 phone lines.  At the peak it was handling 1400 calls a day and close to 400 listening hours per day as well..  Flint PD F2 was the most popular feed via phone.

Currently have 585GB of archives. 2,181,832 Files 485 Folders.  I have archives going back to 03 for some of my first feeds.

25 800Mhz MPSCS Feeds moved, 25pd feeds renamed

I have finished moving the 25 scanner feeds from there home in a outdoor cabnet in fenton twp to a nice building that has a very very good decode of the simulcast system.  99% decode without antennas on the radios no less.  The building is fully air conditioned and has emergency power.  This will help in the summer to not cook hard drives on the encoding computers.  I have also took the 6 encoding computers that ran the 6 digital feeds and compressed them down to only needing one new dual core box.  This means less power usage and makes room for more scanners in the rack.  Sorry for the odd noises on the feeds and the downtime while the move was going on.

25PD-NORTH is now 25P911N and 25PD-SOUTH is now 25P11S.  Please update your links acordingly.
